Trump weighing several contenders for attorney general role

Donald Trump did what many people considered impossible: he defeated the liberal machine and won the presidency.

Now, he has some SERIOUS decisions to make, including who is going to serve as America's attorney general.

A report from the Washington Times indicates that Sen. Eric Schmitt is a possible candidate to fill that role.

Schmitt has been seen with Trump everywhere from campaign rallies to the golf course. A lot of business gets done on golf courses, so it wouldn't be surprising to see at least one of Trump's cart buddies end up pretty high in the government.

According to the Washington Times, Schmitt has some serious qualifications:

Before being elected to the Senate, Mr. Schmitt was state attorney general from 2019 to 2023. He led the major lawsuit against the Biden administration for pressuring social media companies to censor posts related to COVID-19 and comments about the 2020 election.

Schmitt isn't the only person under consideration, however.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is also said to be on Trump's shortlist for the job.

Paxton has become a major figure amongst conservatives because of the noteworthy battles he's been in in his home state of Texas. The conservative leader has challenged LGBT policies whenever they've gotten out of hand. Give them an inch and they want a mile, so it's been no easy task for Paxton to keep them in check.

At least one other man is also being considered, and his name is Mark Paoletta. One thing that Paoletta has going for him is his close relationship with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. That's one heck of a reference on the résumé if you ask me.

Regardless of who Donald Trump ultimately picks for this position, Democrats had better start panicking now. It's time for them to FINALLY be held accountable.

Which one of these three men would you pick? Or would you go with someone who isn't on the board yet?

Only time will tell what President Donald Trump is thinking.
