Trump Surprised When Melania Announced Pregnancy

Former President Donald Trump’s long-ago reported reaction to wife Melania Trump's news telling him she was pregnant with their son, Barron, has taken the Internet by storm.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Melania said the pregnancy took Donald Trump by total surprise even though the pair had been “expecting” such a development to occur soon.

“He came home [one day last August], and I told him he’d be a daddy. And his reaction was… at first he needed to take it in. It was a real surprise. And then he was very happy,” Melania said.

Donald Trump backed up what his wife had to say.

When asked about the moment he learned of Melania’s pregnancy, Trump said “I expected we were going to have children, so I wasn’t totally surprised. But I was surprised by the speed of it. It happened very quickly.”

Melania went on to discuss what a wonderful child Barron was when he was small.

After the birth of their son, Barron, Melania observed that Barron was a “very good baby” going on to say that her son was “not like a crybaby – he’s calm, and it’s fantastic.”

Ever since Barron’s birth, he has been a joy to the Trumps.

As the youngest child of Donald Trump, there’s no doubt Barron holds a special place in the former president’s heart.

Now, fast forward to 2024, Barron is 17 years old and about to graduate from high school.

Barron speaks both English and Slovene!

Slovene is the native language of his mother, Melania Trump.

Barron was also the first son of a president to live in the White House since the 1960s.

While Barron has kept to himself in his youth, there’s no doubt that he is planning to make big waves in the near future.
