Trump Tells Supporters to ‘Forgive’ Joe Biden

Joe Biden just gave Donald Trump his 2016 “deplorables” moment.

Biden was reportedly on a campaign call when he referred to Trump supporters as “garbage.”

Donald Trump did not take it to heart, however, and even asked his supporters to forgive the old man because he doesn’t even know what he is saying now.

Garbage

Biden was trying to score points for a joke that was made by a comedian at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally.

The comedian referred to Puerto Rico as an “island of garbage.”

Biden went off, stating, "The only garbage I see floating out there is (Trump's) supporters… his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American.”

Biden tried to walk back the comments later, stating, "Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage - which is the only word I can think of to describe it.”

That, however, is clearly not what Biden said, and there were far better ways to phrase it had he been specifically talking about the comedian.

Harris had no choice but to distance herself from the comments, stating, “First of all he clarified his comments, but let me be clear: I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for.”

If we follow the Democrat standard, clarification or saying what he “meant” to say is no longer valid. If they don’t allow Trump to clean up his comments, then you cannot allow Biden to clean up his.

Republicans blew this up all over the place, but it was Donald Trump, of all people, who tempered the outrage, albeit with a backhand shot at Biden.

Trump stated, “He doesn’t know. You have to please forgive him. Please forgive him for not knowing what he said.

“Terrible, terrible, terrible to say a thing like that. But he really doesn’t know. He really, honestly, he doesn’t.”

Let’s be realistic here… if Biden wanted to call the comedian that, he could have easily used his name or simply referred to him as the comedian.

The White House is trying to spin it as though Biden said that Tony Hinchliffe was producing garbage, but it's clear that's not what Biden meant. He was referring to Trump's fans.

So, apparently, anyone now supporting Trump is a garbage deplorable. This is going to be a marketing goldmine for someone.
