Trump Surrogates Wanted to Invade GOP Debate, But…

Well, Donald Trump is not attending the debate on Wednesday.

However, we can expect an army of his surrogates to be in attendance to make some noise when Trump gets attacked.

Reports surfaced on Monday that numerous Trump allies are headed to Milwaukee, reported the Washington Examiner.

However, Fox News appears to have blocked them from attending the debate, reported the New York Post.

Send the Army

There was supposed to be a Trump army at the debate, no doubt to make a lot of noise every time Ron DeSantis opened his mouth.

Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) were all supposed to attend. Kari Lake was also rumored to be attending.

Three of Trump’s aides, Chris LaCivita, Jason Miller, and Steven Cheung, were expected to be in attendance.

Cheung has been merciless against DeSantis, pushing the narrative that DeSantis is disloyal for running for president…

Well, Fox News just shut them all down.

A report broke very late on Monday night that Fox News was no longer allowing Trump surrogates to attend.

Even though they have been blocked from attending the debate, there are now reportedly efforts by Trump surrogates to get into the “spin room” after the debate. They are clearly hoping to defend Trump after the debate, especially because you know Trump will be attacked as a coward for not showing up.

If Trump’s people are not permitted into the spin room, and there is no reason at this point to think the RNC will allow that to happen, it would be just an unending night of attacks against Trump that will go unanswered.

This decision could come back to haunt Trump if Ron DeSantis has a good night and Chris Christie does what we expect him to do.

We will find out in just a few hours.
