Trump Surpasses Biden in 2nd Quarter Fundraising

Remember when we were worried about Trump having enough money to run a campaign?

Well, those concerns are officially put to bed, even if Trump needs a stack of cash to pay his legal bills.

Trump had a second-quarter haul of $331 million, which is massive. That number alone should get him over the finish line, and he still has another full quarter to go before the election.

Raining

There was a time when Biden’s campaign was trolling Trump for how much it was beating him by in terms of fundraising.

That was when there was a crowded Republican field and donors were split.

Now, everyone seems to be uniting behind Trump’s campaign and the more legal problems he has, the more the money flows.

I had always expressed concern that people may object to Trump using campaign funds for his legal bills, but that no longer seems to be a concern.

Trump raised $331 million last quarter, crushing Biden by roughly $67 million.

Trump now also has more cash on hand than Biden, with Trump reporting $284.9 million on hand, while Biden has about $240 million on hand.

Trump campaign senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles stated, "President Trump’s campaign fundraising operation is thriving day after day and month after month.

“Winning this quarter brought us a cash on hand advantage, which is punctuated by a Biden burn rate that grows while yielding no tangible results for them.

"Despite Biden spending nearly $120 million on tv, cable and radio alone, polling and voter enthusiasm continue to grow for President Trump.

“This fundraising momentum is likely to grow even more as we head into a world-class convention and see the Democrats continue their circular firing squad in the aftermath of Biden’s debate collapse."

I imagine that, after that debate performance, Biden's fundraising will be a problem down the stretch.

The momentum has swung, my friends, and it is not good for Joe Biden.
