Trump Suggests Sending Newly Hired IRS Agents to the Border

Donald Trump probably just sent a wave of fear through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

One of Joe Biden’s reconciliation bills added nearly 90,000 new IRS agents to the government payroll.

Trump is now suggesting reassigning them to the border to help with locking it down.

Transfer Time

One of Trump’s many executive orders on his first day in office was to issue a hiring freeze in the government.

Trump was recently in Las Vegas, where he addressed possibly reassigning the 88,000 new IRS agents that came in under Biden.

Trump stated, “They hired, or tried to hire, 88,000 workers to go after you and we’re in the process of developing a plan to either terminate all of them, or maybe we’ll move them to the border.

“I think we’re going to move them to the border where they are allowed to carry guns. You know, they’re so strong on guns. But these people are allowed to carry guns. So we will probably move them to the border.”

Trump has already declared a national emergency at the border, so his presidential powers get extended with what he can do with that declaration.

Trump had also vowed the “overhaul of our trade system.”

He stated, “Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens. It will be massive amounts of money pouring into our Treasury — coming from foreign sources. The American dream will soon be back and thriving like never before.”

Trump’s “dream” is to raise enough money on tariffs that he can pull back on the taxes Americans pay to our government, which was the primary source of income when the country was first founded.

I don’t think that is possible with the way things work today because most tariffs would wind up being passed down to the consumer anyway, so we are going to pay for this one way or another.

If there is one aspect of the Trump presidency that has me baffled, this is it, so I am really interested in seeing the plan he puts forward to attempt to make this happen.
