Trump Slams Merchan Over Gag Order in Hush Money Case

Donald Trump has been hit with yet another gag order.

And, as we saw before, that gag order was met with a hostile rant from Trump.

Trump not only blasted Judge Merchan, but he also implied that Merchan’s daughter would benefit from the ruling.

When the gag order was requested by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, I had predicted that Merchan would rule in his favor because of past gag orders and posts by Trump.

Merchan ruled just as expected and issued the order, which sent Trump into another universe.

It did not make matters any better for Trump that after the order was announced, Merchan’s daughter, Loren Merchan, posted a meme of Donald Trump in prison.

Trump took out his phone and immediately blasted Merchan on Truth Social, posting, “Judge Juan Merchan, who is suffering from an acute case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (whose daughter represents Crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, and other Radical Liberals, has just posted a picture of me behind bars, her obvious goal, and makes it completely impossible for me to get a fair trial) has now issued another illegal, un-American, unConstitutional ‘order,’ as he continues to try and take away my Rights.

“This Judge, by issuing a vicious ‘Gag Order,’ is wrongfully attempting to deprive me of my First Amendment Right to speak out against the Weaponization of Law Enforcement, including the fact that Crooked Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and their Hacks and Thugs are tracking and following me all across the Country, obsessively trying to persecute me, while everyone knows I have done nothing wrong!”

Lauren Mechan is a partner at Authentic Campaigns, which has been used by numerous high-profile Democrats, including Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Kamala Harris.

Trump continued on his rant, eventually demanding that Merchan recuse himself from the case, posting, “The Judge has to recuse himself immediately, and right the wrong committed by not doing so last year.

“If the Biased and Conflicted Judge is allowed to stay on this Sham ‘Case,’ it will be another sad example of our Country becoming a Banana Republic, not the America we used to know and love.

“These are Election Interfering Witch Hunts. We will crush each one of these Hoaxes, and Make America Great Again!”

That post could be deemed a violation of the gag order with Trump attacking Merchan’s daughter, as the gag order stipulates that Trump cannot attack “members of the court’s staff and the District Attorney’s staff, or … the family members of any counsel or staff member, if those statements are made with the intent to materially interfere with … counsel’s or staff’s work.”

The gag order also includes members of the jury in the trial.

I understand why Trump is so upset, but he is doing himself no favors with rants like this.

He needs to remain calm, let the case play out, then get his revenge on appeal, even if he has to take it all the way to the Supreme Court to get satisfaction.
