Trump Shooter Reportedly Had Overseas Encrypted Accounts

We all knew the moment that the attempt was made on Donald Trump’s life, conspiracy theories were going to start to pop up.

This is now being fed by Fox News’ Jesse Watters and Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL).

Waltz appeared on Watters’ show this week, claiming that the shooter had multiple encrypted overseas accounts while the Secret Service had been made aware that the Iranians were plotting to kill Trump.

Dangerous Times

Waltz stated, “Donald Trump isn't your normal, average former president. He's not Jimmy Carter sitting in the old folks' home. And, oh, by the way, some other things are coming out, like the shooter had three encrypted accounts overseas at the same time we're having an Iranian plot.

“So, I mean, there is I think this is going to go much broader, much deeper. Agents' lives on the line. And she was not giving the resources they were requesting.

“But one other thing, Jesse, that Pittsburgh field office was the one responsible for the advance. That was clearly not done appropriately and distracted by Dr. Jill.”

Watters immediately jumped all over the foreign accounts angle, asking, “Do you believe this attempt on the former president's life has some sort of foreign nexus?”

Waltz responded, “Well, we know the Iranians have been trying for years, not only him, but everybody, Pompeo and others, involved in the Soleimani strike.

“And we also know it's finally come out, many of us have been fighting this for years, that they pulled National Security Advisor O'Brien's detail completely away.

“He's had to go to his own private security and local law enforcement.

“So there is all kinds of issues here, and we're going to get to the bottom of it starting on Monday.”

Some things to be aware of here…

First, the plot by Iran is NOT new news, as they have knowingly talked about plots to assassinate numerous Trump administration officials since Trump left office.

Second, we literally know nothing about the alleged overseas accounts, so all that is doing is giving the Secret Service Director a possible out.

And even if all that turned out to be true, and there was some link, it would not change the fact that the breakdowns in coverage that day by Secret Service were unforgivable.

While I would obviously want to know if there was a foreign government involved, my main concern right now is the breakdown in security protocols and why a known threat was able to roam around for roughly three hours without being apprehended, even if only precautionary.

Hint: When someone shows up at a political rally with a rangefinder, you don’t pass them through the gate. And when you see them taking readings later and climbing on a wall, you stop the rally, and you either apprehend or take out the suspect.

None of that happened on Saturday, and now an innocent hero is dead.
