Trump Sentencing Scheduled 4 Days Before National Convention
As if you needed more proof that the entire debacle in New York was not politically motivated, wait until you hear the latest order by Judge Merchan.
The sentencing hearing for Trump has been set for July 11.
That is a mere four days before the RNC takes place from July 15 to 18.
Politically Motivated
Trump was found guilty on all 34 accounts, and it is not out of the norm for a judge to schedule sentencing three months or more after the initial hearing.
This time, however, Merchan decided to do it just before the GOP national convention.
Merchan could have scheduled it for after the convention, but this now allows Democrats to tout the idea that the GOP just nominated a convicted felon who has been sentenced to blah, blah, blah as their presidential candidate.
Trump could do more than 120 years, as each count is eligible for up to four years in prison.
I would say I doubt Merchan would be so bold as to put a first-time offender in jail, but you just never know these days.
Donald Trump Jr. reacted to the news, stating, "Sentencing is 4 days before the GOP Convention...They're not even trying to hide the ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!!:
RNC Chair Michael Whatley added, "Today’s verdict, handed down by a partisan and biased judge, is an indictment on the Democrats’ campaign to weaponize the judicial system to attack President Trump.
"The real verdict will take place on November 5 when Americans vote for a president they trust to bring down prices, secure the southern border, restore America’s leadership around the world, and Make America Great Again."
This has all backfired immensely on Democrats, with Trump’s campaign website crashing from so many visiting to donate money to his campaign.
I cannot wait to see the impact on the next round of polls, as it would appear that Bragg and Merchan may have just put Trump into the White House.
