Trump Seeks To Delay E. Jean Carroll Judgment Enforcement

Donald Trump is NOT keen to pay out the hundreds of million dollars that he currently owes because of lost lawsuits, and he's doing anything he can to save his pocketbook.

The measures Trump is taking include asking the judge to place a stay of execution on the over $80 million he is supposed to pay E. Jean Carroll.

While Trump is asking for the payment to be delayed by thirty days, that isn't because he plans on getting busy coming up with the money during that time.

Trump wants that payment delayed because he thinks he can come up with enough tricks in court to get out of paying entirely over the course of those 30 days.

"As multiple courts have held, an unsecured stay may be appropriate before the court rules on post-trial motions where the amount of the judgment is uncertain and likely to be affected by the disposition of post-trial motions," the filing from Trump's legal team reads.

"President Trump’s post-trial motions will present several meritorious issues, but for purposes of this stay motion, President Trump focuses on two issues that the Court has not yet had occasion to consider—the excessiveness of the punitive damages award and the compensatory damages award for emotional injury," it continues.

In January, Trump was ordered to pay $83,000,000 to E. Jean Carroll after she claimed the former president defamed her when he denied allegations of sexual assault.

It should be noted that Carroll's intentions have been repeatedly called into question, especially after she went on MSNBC and promised to go on a lavish shopping spree with the money. She even offered to buy host Rachel Maddow whatever she wanted.

This, of course, made people furious.

Carroll and the judge and jury were supposed to be pursuing justice, not a massive payday to fund a shopping spree.

It's just more proof that the liberals in this country will do ANYTHING they can to hurt Donald Trump, ethical or not.
