Trump Scores Endorsement by BLM Leader

Now, you guys know me and my opinion of endorsements.

Generally speaking, I don’t think they carry much weight in a presidential election, which is why I rarely report on them.

That is not the case for an endorsement that Trump just received.

He’s All In

Mark Fisher, who is the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island, has just announced that he is supporting Donald Trump for the 2024 election.

Now, I know how most conservatives feel about BLM as an organization, and I am right there with you, but we have to really unpack this to show how huge this is for Trump.

Endorsements in minority communities go far, and this could not have come at a better time for Trump.

You have to consider how horrible Joe Biden’s support among minority voters is right now, specifically in the black community, with Biden regularly polling under 70% with black voters.

This is a demographic where Democrats usually grab about 90% or more, so 70% shows a huge chunk of voters that will not support Biden.

It comes into play because it is unlikely most DeSantis voters will support Trump, more than likely going third-party or only participating in down-ballot elections.

There is also the non-Trumper portion of the party, who will probably do the same thing, but some of those people will actually pull the handle for Biden.

Point being, normally, without all those votes, Trump would be dead in the water in a general election against a box of rocks, which is pretty much what Joe Biden amounts to be.

However, if Trump can gain those lost votes among the black community, he may just be able to offset enough of his losses to win this race.

When you add in the votes that Biden will lose to a third-party candidate like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., this endorsement is devasting for Biden.

To that point, Fisher really hit home with his comments, stating, "It's the duplicity of the Democrats, the hypocrisy.

"We're not stupid. The brothers are not stupid. We understand when someone's for us and when someone is not, and it's obvious that the Democratic Party is not for us."

He continued, "We've been used and abused for so long by that party, they don't value our vote.

“Their policies are basically racist policies. I believe it's a racist party. Donald Trump is just the opposite. He's going to tell you how it is. He's going to give it to you straight.

"Trump has done more for the Black community than I can any president I can think of in my lifetime.”

He’s not wrong, as Trump did more for HBCUs and the black community as a whole than Obama, and he surely did more than Bill Clinton, who was in office when Biden helped pen the crime bill that is largely cited as being responsible for creating so many single parent black families in this country.

This is a big endorsement, folks, and it could be the one that really puts Trump over the number in terms of winning the 2024 election if he gets the nod.
