Trump Says He Would Consider Pardoning Hunter Biden
I was really hoping that Donald Trump would not go down this path, and I have reported on this possibility before.
After years of touting Hunter Biden breaking the law, Trump is now switching gears.
Trump, on Thursday, said that if he is elected, he would consider pardoning Hunter Biden for his crimes.
Good or Bad Move
When Trump was asked about a possible Hunter Biden pardon, he said he would “not take it off the books.”
Donald Trump added, “See, unlike Joe Biden, despite what they’ve done to me, where they’ve gone after me so viciously, despite what, and Hunter’s a bad boy.
“There’s no question about it. He’s been a bad boy. All you had to do is see the laptop from hell. But I happen to think it’s very bad for our country.”
So, if it is bad for the country, then why was it the focal point of the 2020 campaign? Why has Congress spent the last four years investigating Hunter Biden and wasting taxpayer money if all he is going to do is pardon Hunter?
The same thing happened in 2016 when Trump’s campaign rallied around “lock her up” against Hillary Clinton.
Then, on Trump’s first day in office, at his inaugural luncheon, he had everyone stand and give her a rousing round of applause in celebration of her career.
I understand the move… pardon Hunter and use this as an olive branch to the Democrat Party, but the Democrat Party slapped his hand away before.
And if Trump is going to pardon Hunter, does that mean all the investigations against Joe Biden were also for naught?
If I sound upset, I am… I don’t like to be lied to. And I would think that Trump learned his lesson the first time around.
Pardoning Hunter is not going to stop the Democrats from coming after him and thinking that is just foolish.
Not only that, but Trump is now making all the represented electives who have been investigating Hunter look like fools and he is opening them up to criticism and possibly losing their elections.
After all, how can you defend spending millions of taxpayer dollars on something that your party leader says is bad for the country and will wipe away with the single swipe of a pen?
This is a HUGE mistake by Trump to even suggest this at this stage of the election. If you ask me, it is a mistake to even consider it, ever.
