Trump Reveals Details of Assassination Attempt
Donald Trump has not spoken much about the first assassination attempt in Butler, PA.
He has given a few tidbits about it, but nothing substantial.
That changed this week when he sat down with Fox News and Laura Ingraham.
Crazy Day
Trump revealed how Barron found out that his father had been shot.
The former president explained, "Barron was playing tennis with his friends, and somebody walked over and ran over and said, 'Your father's been shot. He's been shot.' Barron really likes his father a lot… and he came in [saying], ‘Mom, Mom, Mom, what happened?’
"Then they saw me get up, and then they saw the fist bump… it's very interesting. When I got up, people thought maybe he's dead."
He also explained what happened in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, stating, "The hospital was great, and I didn't realize this — when a president goes to an area, they close the hospital in its entirety, it's ready for exactly this. I didn't know they did. I got there, doctors and nurses were outside, and no people. They literally close it, almost like they expect this.
"It's… genius, but who would ever think that? And I was so impressed.”
There has since been another assassination attempt against Trump, but the only shots that were fired in that attempt were by the Secret Service.
Trump also revealed that he no longer feels safe on the campaign trail, calling it a dangerous place because of the positions he has taken.
He clearly holds the Democrats responsible, blaming their rhetoric of calling him a danger to democracy and world as the reason these lunatics went after him.
I agree in that the political rhetoric on both sides has gotten out of control, as though the entire world will end regardless of who wins this election.
My real concern, however, is the reaction of the American people.
Both sides have their supporters stirred up to the point that I fear our streets will be on fire regardless of who wins, but especially if Trump wins.
And all the while, the people responsible for it all will be tucked safely away behind police and Secret Service protection.
