Trump Remains Steady in Polling While Harris Starts to Fall
After Kamala Harris was named as the Democrat nominee, she got the expected surge.
It was as though everyone had forgotten how much they hated her during the 2020 election cycle.
Well, they are starting to remember.
Oh, That Kamala
The latest New York Times poll was not good news for Harris.
She was up almost five points against Trump nationally at one point, not to mention taking over every key battleground state, including the key Blue Wall states.
Well, the polling has leveled off and in the NYT poll, Trump is actually now ahead of Harris by two points.
Harris is also sliding back in the battleground state polling, even though she is marginally ahead in most of those states.
Again, though, what had been a few points in most of these states is now a coin-flip, with many of them under two points or less, so this is far from over.
The really interesting aspect of this to me, however, is something I have never really seen in polling before, and I am a polling junkie.
While Harris has been up and down nationally, Trump just sits there at 48%.
Trump never seems to lose support or gain support, he just sits their idling waiting for people to realize how much they hate Kamala.
And this is not just in the Kamala race, as Trump’s numbers were almost identical against Biden.
This is why I believe it is important for Cornel West and Jill Stein to get on the ballots in key states if Trump is going to be able to beat Harris in the popular vote and Electoral College.
And yes, I know he only needs to win the Electoral College to win the presidency, but it would be nice to shut down the complaints about the Electoral College if he can also win the popular vote.
