Trump Reaches Out to Netanyahu After Assassination Attempt

Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu now have something else in common.

Both men have been targeted for assassination.

Reports broke this weekend that Hezbollah had attempted to assassinate Netanyahu via a drone strike in his private residence.

World Turned Upside Down

Netanyahu, obviously, was livid after the attack on his residence.

He posted to social media, "The attempt by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah to assassinate me and my wife today was a grave mistake.

"This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future."

"I say to Iran and its proxies in its axis of evil: Anyone who tries to harm Israel's citizens will pay a heavy price; We will continue to eliminate the terrorists and those who dispatch them; We will bring our hostages home from Gaza; And we will return our citizens who live on our Northern border safely to their homes.

"Israel is determined to achieve all our war objectives and change the security reality in our region for generations to come.”

Thankfully, neither Netanyahu nor his wife were home at the time of the attack, and no injuries were reported.

After the incident was reported, Donald Trump and Speaker Johnson (R-LA) reportedly reached out to Netanyahu, with Johnson reporting, “I told him America stands strong with Israel and reiterated our ongoing commitment to help counter Iran and its terrorist proxies.”

Oddly enough, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have failed to touch base with Netanyahu after the assassination attempt (as of the writing of this report).

One would hope they have the decency to do so soon, but you just never know with these two. Besides, we all know that Joe lets nothing get in the way of his weekends off.
