Trump raises more than $160 million in September
Republican nominee former President Donald Trump's campaign reported that it raised over $160 million in September, more than $30 million higher than its August total.
The number is good news for Trump, but still far less than the $361 million reportedly raised by Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris. The Harris campaign has not released its September numbers yet.
The Trump campaign said it had $283 million in cash on hand going into October, while Harris's campaign had $404 million cash on hand last month.
It is typical for Democrats to raise more money than Republicans due to large contributions from many of the uberwealthy in Hollywood and the media, as well as some gigantic corporations.
What fundraising can do
In contrast, the Trump campaign reported that its average contribution was $60, and that 96% of its donations were $200 or less.
Potentially, fundraising like this could indicate more support among actual voters for Trump.
Having more money to work with can allow Democrats to bombard voters with their messaging and can sway the undecided, who usually decide elections, however.
Trump and the Republican National Committee combined raised more than Biden and the DNC in the second quarter, $331 million to $264 million.
Four years of word salad?
That was before President Joe Biden decided to step down from his re-election bid and Harris was named to replace him.
Sensing that the queen of vapidness would need all the help she should get, big ticket leftist donors are trying to push her across the finish line by pretending she actually makes sense.
But are actual voters going to vote for four years of word salad? Let's hope the media is not that good.
If Harris does manage to get elected, her voters deserve what they get.
The rest of us, on the other hand, will suffer even though we didn't vote for that.
May common sense and sound thinking prevail!
