Trump Pays Tribute to Kid Rock’s Father

Last week, Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, announced the passing of his father.

Rock and Trump have been buddies for a few years now, as Kid Rock has gone all in on Trump’s campaign.

It took a few days, but Trump finally paid tribute to Kid Rock’s father.

He’s Gone

On Friday, Kid Rock announced his father’s death, posting on X, “My Dad, Bill Ritchie Sr, moved on to be with Jesus yesterday.

“He was an incredible father, grandfather, great grandfather, and so much more, none shy of being quite the character! Thank you for your condolences in advance. God Bless you and I love you Pop!”

Donald Trump did a town hall event on Fox News this week, and Kid Rock was also in the house to appear with Sean Hannity on his show.

My guess is that Trump was reminded by Laura Ingraham, who ran the town hall, that Kid Rock’s father had passed.

Trump then posted on Truth Social, “Bill Ritchie, Sr., the wonderful father of Bob, sometimes referred to as Kid Rock, recently passed away after a long and brave fight with a nasty competitor, cancer.

“I got to know Bill very well over the last three years, and he was something special, a very successful guy, but family was far more important than that success.

“He was a fabulous father, grandfather, and great grandfather, but also, a man with tremendous vision, talent, and style, and a real character!

“My condolences to the whole family. Bill will be greatly missed.”

Meanwhile, Kid Rock was over on Hannity talking about how he and Donald Trump confronted the CEO of Bud Light during a UFC event over the whole Dylan Mulvaney fiasco.

He explained, “So [Trump and I] go over, and we actually had a great conversation [with Whitworth].

“I told him, ‘You signaled to a lot of people like myself … by sending that can to the trans kid, you kind of signaled to us that you support that lifestyle, and more importantly, men being in women’s sports or in my granddaughter’s locker room. Most of us draw a hard line right there.'”

Kid Rock, who is now supporting Bud Light again, stated that he never suggested a boycott when he shot up the case of beer in a video. He merely wanted to bring attention to their social issue stance, and he did.

Bud Light has been reeling ever since, to the point rebranding is now being suggested because they have been unable to recover from the boycott.

However, last week, Trump posted that it was now okay for MAGA to drink Bud Light again, so let’s see how much of an impact that has on sales.
