Trump Opens Up About Addiction Struggles of Brother Fred

I am not sure if people realize this or not, but Donald Trump has never touched a drop of alcohol in his life.

The reason for this is that Trump had an older brother who had a horrible alcohol addiction.

Trump recently opened up about this during a podcast interview.

Never Touched It

Donald Trump has never smoked or had a drink. This was because his brother Fred told him to never touch alcohol or cigarettes.

Fred told him this because Fred was addicted to alcohol and he realized it was ruining his life.

Trump opened up about this in years past, but it is not something he readily talks about unless asked about.

After winning the 2016 election, Trump discussed this after declaring the opioid crisis a public health emergency.

Trump talked about Fred, stating, “He really helped me. I had somebody who guided me.

“If we can teach young people not to start, it’s really really easy not to take them.”

As Trump stated, if you get to kids early and get them to buy into never drinking, smoking, or doing drugs, they will never miss it.

Donald Trump went into more detail about this during a recent podcast interview with Theo Von (@TheoVon on X).

Here is the interview…

I like these interviews for Trump because they humanize him, something the left does not want to see.

They have Trump painted as an absolute monster and they would prefer that most voters keep that image in their minds.

In fact, during a recent “The View,” Goldberg went off about this very subject, even though the entire panel on the show gushed over Trump years ago when he appeared, but that was before he decided to run for office as a Republican.

The moment Trump did that, he became enemy number one in their eyes.
