Trump Nominees Ordered to Stop Posting on Social Media

Last week, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy created quite a mess on social media when they posted their stance on the H-1B visa program, with Musk ending his post with a profanity-laced insult to anyone who disagreed with him.

Donald Trump eventually chimed in to support his DOGE nominees, but that seemed to only make matters worse, as MAGA did not sign up to have increased immigration, especially when it comes to high-end positions.

Then, on Sunday, an order came down from the Trump transition team for nominees to stop posting regarding any possible positions of the incoming administration.

Shut It Down

President-elect Donald Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles is a no-nonsense kind of person, so she put out a memo to remind incoming staffers that they should not be making posts without prior approval on anything related to the administration.

Wiles even sent a memo out to remind everyone.

The memo stated:

“While this instruction has been delivered previously, I am reiterating that no member of the incoming administration or Transition speaks for the United States or the President-elect himself.

“Accordingly, all intended nominees should refrain from any public social media posts without prior approval of the incoming White House counsel.”

Wiles will be the first woman chief of staff in history for a presidential administration, and she has already earned the nickname “Ice Maiden.”

The Trump transition team is saying the memo was not in response to the Musk and Ramaswamy posts, but I don’t believe that for a second.

The source inside the transition team stated:

“It was a reminder of the guidance to intended nominees as confirmation hearings get underway next week,” which just happened to come after the MAGA world exploded after the Musk and Ramaswamy posts.
