Trump Names Linda McMahon as Education Secretary
Donald Trump is bringing back a former Trump administration official, only in another role.
Trump has named Linda McMahon, the former CEO of the WWE, as his Secretary of Education, replacing Biden's pick, Miguel Cardona, who has been the architect of Biden's student loan forgiveness charade.
McMahon served in the first Trump administration as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
More Controversy
There is a common thread among several of Trump’s current administration nominees, and it is not a good one.
In this case, it is Linda McMahon, who Trump just nominated to run what has become a bit of a hot potato, the Department of Education.
Trump, in announcing McMahon, stated, "It is my great honor to announce that Linda McMahon, former Administrator of the Small Business Administration, will be the United States Secretary of Education.
"As Secretary of Education, Linda will fight tirelessly to expand ‘Choice’ to every State in America, and empower parents to make the best Education decisions for their families.
“Linda served for two years on the Connecticut Board of Education, where she was one of fifteen members overseeing all Public Education in the State, including its Technical High School system."
Trump is expected to trim the Department of Education, so I am not sure how long the appointment will last, but there is a lot more to this than just eliminating the agency.
The troll machine was in full force digging up old videos of McMahon during her time as CEO of the WWE…

This gets much worse, however, as McMahon is one of several Trump appointees linked to sexual misconduct allegations.
Matt Gaetz, who just withdrew his nomination, was accused of sex trafficking and having sex with underage girls.
Pete Hegseth, Trump’s Defense Secretary nominee, has been accused of taking advantage of a woman, which resulted in Hegseth paying a settlement to make the problem go away (Hegseth maintains she was the aggressor and he was innocent).
And now there is McMahon, who is in the middle of massive allegations being made against the WWE and her husband, Vince McMahon, of “rampant” sexual exploitation of young boys.
The suit names the McMahons, the WWE, and its parent holding company, TKO Holdings in the suit.
McMahon's attorney, Jessica Rosenberg, stated, “More than 30 years ago, the columnist Phil Mushnick tried to make headlines with these same false claims. Those allegations were never proven and ultimately became the subject of a defamation lawsuit against Mr. Mushnick.
“The negligence claims against Mr. McMahon that were asserted today rely on these same absurd, defamatory and utterly meritless statements by Mr. Mushnick. We will vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident the court will find that these claims are untrue and unfounded.”
These days, as we all know, it does not matter if you are innocent or guilty, only that the allegations have been made.
People tend to believe that people are guilty until proven innocent rather than the other way around.
So, don’t be surprised if this topic arises during her confirmation process and eventually leads to her withdrawing from consideration.
