Trump Media COO departs role with company
Donald Trump would like to be focusing his complete attention on the upcoming election, but it would appear as though the distractions simply keep coming.
Whether it's been the lawsuits against him, the underhanded tactics of Kamala Harris, or the massive media bias he faces, it always seems like Donald Trump is dealing with some problem that the other side doesn't have on its plate.
Now, Trump has something stressful on the business side of his life about which to worry.
Trump Media's Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Northwall, has resigned as of late September.
The news was uncovered when Trump Media revealed the departure in a regulatory filing on Oct. 3.
Trump Media, which trades on the Nasdaq as DJT, did not give a reason for why Northwall left. The company only said that it "plans to transition his duties internally."
Even though this won't get nearly as much attention as his race for the presidency will, it could undoubtedly be something with which Trump would rather not deal at the moment.
As the majority shareholder of Trump Media, Donald has a SERIOUS interest in making sure that the company is running smoothly. If that means taking at least a little attention away from his campaign, Trump might have to do it to protect his $1,900,000,000 stake in the company.
Donald owns nearly 57% of the company and the Truth Social online network that comes along with it.
Despite recent questions about the company and a dip in stock prices, Trump has vowed not to sell his shares in the company.
Do you think that there is simply too much money in Trump Media for Donald Trump to ignore this development, or should he be putting these problems aside until after the 2024 election?
Only time will tell just how distracting these issues end up being for Trump and his campaign.
