Trump Loses Again in Effort to Delay Hush-Money Case
Donald Trump and his attorneys are doing everything possible to have the Alvin Bragg hush-money case delayed, but they continue to fall short.
For the third time, Trump’s motion to push the case back has been defeated.
Trump has lost every motion on this front, so it does look like the case will start with jury selection next week.

Over the last few months, bombshell allegations have been levied against Judge Merchan, the presiding judge in the case.
It was revealed that Merchan’s daughter, Loren, works for Authentic, a digital marketing agency that provides services primarily to liberal candidates.
Among her current and former client list are Kamala Harris, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and the DNC, the latter two of whom have been fundraising off Trump’s legal problems.
As noted above, this was the third effort to have the case delayed, and likely the last attempt that Trump will have, as jury selection is slated to begin on Monday…

Steven Wu, a lawyer for the Manhattan district attorney’s office, cited Trump’s attorneys' failings in bringing some of these motions too late for consideration, which is why Merchan denied Trump’s request to have the trial delayed or dismissed based on presidential immunity.
Wu stated, “There is a powerful public interest in ensuring that this criminal trial go forward.”
Trump is facing 34 federal felony counts due to the fact that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg stacked accounting entries rather than grouping them all into one count, as is generally the case.
Bragg’s key witnesses, adult film star Stormy Daniels and former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen were challenged by Trump, but he lost that motion as well.
Most expect Trump to lose the initial case, with his best chance of defeating the charges being on appeal.
If Trump does lose, he will need to process the appeal as quickly as possible, as any federal conviction will dramatically impact his support in the presidential election.
