Federal appeals court makes major election decision
On Oct. 25, the Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit made a decision that could have a MAJOR impact on the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
The shock ruling says that "states may not count ballots that are mailed by Election Day but received shortly thereafter."
Currently, the ruling applies only to Mississippi, but it's a major thing for an entire state to be changing the way it handles presidential elections less than two weeks before ballots are cast.
Republicans are thrilled about this development, because liberals have long used alternative methods of voting as ways to weaken our election system.
Vote-counters don't pull out boxes from under tables at two in the morning and "find" mail-in ballots for liberals if there are no mail-in ballots outstanding in the first place.
By getting late ballots thrown out in Mississippi, Republicans are setting up a potential U.S. Supreme Court showdown that would potentially result in the rejection of all late-arriving ballots.
This would be a HUGE victory for Trump, as 2020 proved that these "alternative" methods of voting skewed heavily for Democrats.
Trump is most confident about his advantage with in-person voters on Election Day. As a result, Republicans are trying to keep traditional voting methods in as many places as possible.
Interestingly, the man Trump has to thank for this decision is himself!
Conservatives have been saying for a long time that President Trump NAILED most of his judicial appointments, and the composition of this appeals panel, in which he played a part in selecting, is just another example of that.
Liberals look out for liberals. At least in this election, Republicans are trying to look out for VOTERS.
