Trump Judge: ‘I don’t want anyone killed’

Donald Trump is getting hit by Judge Engoron again for having violated the gag order that was imposed earlier this month.

Engoron cited a comment that was made by Trump to the media.

The partisan judge did not buy Trump’s excuse, stating that he did not believe Trump’s statements were truthful, then hit him with a $10,000 fine.

Trump has to be careful here because he will wind up in jail if he keeps it up.

This all got started after Trump told the media that it was a “very partisan judge with a person who is very partisan sitting alongside him, perhaps even more partisan than he is.”

Engoron wanted to clarify who the person sitting alongside him was in that quote.

He stated, “It’s easy for the public or anyone to know who that is.

“I’m very protective of my staff, and I believe I should be; I don’t want anybody killed.”

After Trump tried to say it was Cohen, Engoron said he did not believe him, adding, “Why should there not be severe sanctions for this blatant, dangerous disobeyal of a clear court order?”

Trump’s attorney tried to defend him, stating, “My understanding of what was said — I believe what Mr. Trump will tell you — was he was talking to Michael Cohen, his credibility as a witness. … I’ve asked him and that’s exactly what he said.”

Engoron went on to warn Trump that further violations of the order could result in much stiffer penalties, including being sent to prison.

I know Trump is trying to play this up for his base, but he has to be careful or he is going to wind up in some real trouble here.

He just needs to concede the fact that Engoron is going to rule against him and concentrate on winning this case on appeal.
