Trump Jr. Recounts Moments After His Father Was Shot

Donald Trump Jr. now appears to be the man behind the man in terms of Donald Trump and his presidency.

He has taken on a much larger role this time around, advising his father, helping him write speeches, and was apparently behind the push to have J.D. Vance added to the ticket.

Trump Jr. was not in PA when his father was shot, but he did recount his experience and how he spent the longest 90 minutes of his life.

Your Father Has Been Shot

We were all watching when Trump went down, but it remained unclear if Trump had been “only” shot in the ear or if there were other wounds.

When Trump left the stage with the help of Secret Service agents, he appeared to be holding his side, but no blood was visible.

After Trump Jr. received the call, he said it took about 90 minutes to reach his father.

He explained, “It took me an hour and a half to basically even know that he was alive. I got a call saying that he was shot, that they had no other information and I couldn’t get through.

“I guess they shut down all the cell phones, all of that.

“Well, so in that amount of time, I’m trying to scour the internet. I’m trying to figure out what’s going on.

“I saw the video and, he’s alright. It finally got through. And I just said, hey, man, you’re the biggest badass I’ve ever seen.

“And I met with him, and had a good conversation, you know, very heavy, obviously.”

Trump Jr. also noted how the speech that Trump had originally written for the convention was trashed so that Trump could give a more unifying speech considering what had happened to him.

I am sure nothing is lost on Trump as to what would have happened had that bullet been an inch to the right, as chaos would have poured into our streets in what would have probably taken weeks or months to calm.

Calming people down now is the right thing to do, and a good tone to his speech could grease the ways for Trump to get back into the Oval Office.
