Report: Trump plotting to thwart Kamala Harris' electoral ambitions yet again

Donald Trump may have clobbered Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, winning both the popular vote and the electoral college, but that might not be enough winning for America's 45th and 47th president.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump has a "secret plan to destroy Kamala Harris a SECOND time.

Trump appears not to be content just to beat Harris himself, he's apparently ready to set up one of his friends to do the same.

Harris has been rumored to have her eye on her home state of California, where Gov. Gavin Newsom is term-limited in 2026.

If Harris decides to run for that spot, it may yet again be Trump who stands in the way of achieving her goals.

One of Trump's top allies, envoy for special missions Richard Grenell, has indicated that he "wouldn't say no" to going head-to-head with Harris in the Golden State's gubernatorial election.

Grenell explained to reporters at the Munich Security Conference that he thinks a Republican might have a shot against Harris no matter how blue her home state is because the former VP "has such baggage," and voters know how terrible she is.

"If Kamala Harris runs for governor, I believe that she has such baggage and hundreds of millions of dollars in educating the voters of how terrible she is, that it’s a new day in California, and that the Republican actually has a shot," Grenell explained.

Despite Grenell's confidence, the Hollywood Reporter recently indicated that internal polling shows that Harris would be the clear favorite if she runs.

Harris' favored status comes even as billionaire Rick Caruso is also eyeing the contest.

In 2022, Caruso narrowly lost a close race for mayor of Los Angeles to Karen Bass.

"If Kamala gets in the race, it will be hers to lose," one political consultant said. "She may not have performed on the national level, but if you look at her track record in California, she's done extremely well."

Grenell doesn't agree, but will he be able to back up his statements?
