Trump Goes After Smith Regarding Classified Documents Case

Slowly but surely, the case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith against Donald Trump regarding the mishandling of classified documents is falling apart.

Trump slammed Smith after a report recently surfaced regarding the handling of the documents.

According to the report, the evidence may have been mishandled in the case, which would be a major problem for Smith.

Can’t Do That

This all started on Friday when prosecutors made a rather shocking admission to the court.

In a filing, prosecutors stated that "there are some boxes where the order of items within that box is not the same as in the associated scans."

This filing did not gibe with previous statements by prosecutors that all the documents were “in their original, intact form as seized.”

Trump went nuclear on Truth Social, stating, "Now, Deranged Jack has admitted in a filing in front of Judge Cannon to what I have been saying happened since the Illegal RAID on my home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida – That he and his team committed blatant Evidence Tampering by mishandling the very Boxes they used as a pretext to bring this Fake Case.

"These deeply Illegal actions by the Politicized ‘Persecutors’ mandate that this whole Witch Hunt be DROPPED IMMEDIATELY. END THE ‘BOXES HOAXES.’ MAGA2024!

"ARREST DERANGED JACK SMITH. HE IS A CRIMINAL!"

In all, the government seized 33 cases of materials from Mar-a-Lago.

In turn, Trump was hit with 40 counts in the felony indictment by Smith, including charges involving the Espionage Act.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

No date has been set for the trial yet, but if the timeline stays on track, it could start sometime in August. However, we don’t expect that to be the case.

While Trump’s team has been challenged to win a case, they have been exceptional at delaying these trials, hoping to push them all back beyond the election.
