Former President Donald Trump is getting really bothered, because Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who formerly served as his press secretary and is now governor of Arkansas, hasn't formally given him her support yet.
Even though she was part of his team for two years and he was quick to back her when she wanted to become governor, she hasn't returned the favor.
A friend of Trump put it like this: "You should always support the person who helped you get where you are."
Trump Shows Frustration
According to some reports, Trump reached out to Sanders earlier this year, asking for her support. But he denies these claims, saying he doesn't usually ask for endorsements, he's the one who gives them.
Sanders' dad, Mike Huckabee, who once ran against Trump, is now backing him for the 2024 race.
But Sanders' spokesperson, Alexa Henning, says that Sanders really likes Trump and thinks he would do a better job leading our country than President Joe Biden.
Henning added that Sanders believes Trump is likely to be the Republican nominee in 2024. Right now, though, Henning said Sanders is focusing on making big changes in Arkansas, not worrying about elections that are years away.
Last week, Trump was also frustrated with the governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds, because she hasn't endorsed him either.
He feels he made it possible for Reynolds to become governor when he picked the former governor to be an ambassador in China. He also believes his support helped her win elections in 2018 and 2022.
According to the latest polls, Trump is leading all the other Republican candidates for 2024 by a lot. The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, is in second place, but he's about 34 points behind Trump, by some estimates.
