Trump Featured on Time Magazine Cover
When Time gave Trump its Person of the Year cover, liberals were about to lose it.
Well, Time has done it again, and the magazine was a bit more aggressive with the latest cover.
The magazine has a depiction of Trump behind the Resolute Desk, sweeping, among other things, Biden’s aviator glasses off the desk.
Safe Spaces Needed
The cover picture was illustrated by artist Tim O’Brien, his fourth.
O’Brien’s first three covers of Trump were not exactly flattering.
O’Brien’s first cover pictured storm clouds rolling in behind Trump, setting up the series.
The second cover showed storm waters approaching the top of the desk, with this being released right around the same time that Trump was fending off the allegations from adult film star Stormy Daniels.
In the third cover, Trump was being carried out of the Oval Office as the stormwater had flooded the Oval Office, with the caption, “In Deep.”
The cover created a significant reaction on both sides of the aisle, with Trump supporters saying things like “Let’s get down to business” and “The adults are charge,” to liberals posting things like, “Here comes the chaos.”
Chaos is right, but probably not in the way they are thinking.
Trump’s office has already stated that he will fill out a stack of executive orders on the first day, mostly dealing with DEI, energy, and the border.
However, most of those orders will be legally challenged, so I have been warning people not to have too high of an expectation early on.
Much of what Trump has promised can only be accomplished through Congress, and we simply do not have the numbers to make that happen.
The only real solution would be to add these policy changes to budgetary legislation and try to push it through via reconciliation, but the Office of Management and Budget will have the final say if these amendments can be added or not.
As I have stated before, this will not be easy, and we only have two years to convince all these new Republican voters they made the right choice by electing Trump.
