Last Thursday, Donald Trump's interview with Megyn Kelly went live on SiriusXM.
One of the questions that Kelly asked was why we have not seen more of Melania on the campaign trail.
Trump answered the question, giving the appearance that there is no rift, this is just Melania being Melania.
The Mystery
As I have stated before, even when Melania was gracing fashion covers, she was never really one to seek out attention.
Now that Trump is no longer in the White House, Melania has gone back to her very private lifestyle.
Many expected that to halt when Trump announced, but Melania has not been campaigning with Trump and she has not been going to his court appearances.
When asked how she was by Kelly, Trump responded, "She's doing very well. She's very strong, very even-keeled, and she's a very good woman, as you know.
"She was a very popular first lady. I mean, I'd go out to rallies, and they have pictures of Melania with 'We love our first lady.'"
Kelly asked why she is so misunderstood, and Trump responded, "I think part of the beauty is that mystery."
Trump then compared Melania to Hollywood recluse Greta Garbo.
"She was a great actress… she had a great beauty, but she was very reclusive, never did an interview.
"I don't see Melania as like that, but she is much more… you know she's introspective, and she's confident."
The reality of this is that every time Melania pokes her head up, mainstream media goes after her for no reason, so why would she be overly public if she does not have to be yet?
I am sure she will be out there as the election gets closer but do not expect her to do the Jill Biden role where she is, in essence, campaigning for Joe Biden.
So far, her team has given nothing but positive statements about the campaign and the indictments, saying that she supports his run for president and believes that he will be elected and will be "leading America with love and strength.
