Trump Ex-wife Creates Firestorm Saying She Would Be Up to Serving at VP

It looks like we have a late arrival into the Trump VP stakes.

Trump’s ex-wife, Marla Maples, got everyone in the media whipped up by announcing she was ready to serve if called upon.

Maples and Trump have remained friends after their split.

I Will Serve

Everyone is waiting to hear who Donald Trump will select as his VP, but Marla Maples may have just thrown a wrench into the system by saying she would be willing to serve.

Maples told a UK publication, “I’m open. I’m open to whatever way that I can serve.

“Right now everyone [in the Trump family] is just seeing how we can help.”

Rest assured, Maples will not be the pick.

This is more or less two-horse race at this point between Senators Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and J.D. Vance.

As I have stated numerous times, I hope Scott makes the cut because I believe he would benefit Donald Trump the most.

However, if it is not Scott, I have no problem with Vance and I think the MAGA contingent would actually prefer him.

My only issue with Vance is that I don’t think he would add more votes to the ballot, whereas Scott would help draw in more minority voters and the moderates who are worried about MAGA running wild.

The other top candidates who I no longer believe are in the running are Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Governor Doug Burgum.

Regardless, Trump is in a very strong position right now, leading all six key battleground states that will likely decide this election.

That would include the Blue Wall, where Trump has narrow leads in two of the states and a comfortable margin in the third.
