Two More Key Trump Endorsements Fail in Arizona

Two more of Donald Trump's picks have fallen.

Once again, they are both key seats that were expected to turn red in 2022.

Trump's win percentage is clearly not telling the full picture here.

Big Loss

Outside of the congressional seats, some of the biggest seats that Trump was hoping to flip were Secretary of State seats.

In terms of an election, there is no more important seat in local government.

In Arizona, a state plagued with election difficulties, Democrat Adrian Fontes has defeated Mark Finchem, a state House Republican.

Finchem has been criticized from the outset for having attended the January 6 rally in DC.

Fontes, after having the race called on Friday night, stated, "I am honored to be presumptively elected Arizona's next Secretary of State. I will make it my mission to bring us closer together than we have been during these last few years."

Blake Masters has also been defeated in a race that many thought he would win.

He was down early in the counting process but rallied once the day-of voting ballots were count.

He got within about five points of his opponent, Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ), but he stayed there.

Masters has not yet conceded the race, however.

Donald Trump has already started calling the outcome rigged.
