'Trump Effect' sets in, border apprehensions plummet

Donald Trump promised that he would crack down on illegal immigration, and it's already VERY clear that he's very serious about keeping that promise.

According to Breitbart, border apprehensions have plummeted since Donald Trump took office, signaling that illegal border crossers understand it's going to be much more difficult to sneak into this country now than it was when Joe Biden was allowing anyone and everyone to waltz right in.

In the Del Rio Border Patrol Sector, which was once one of the busiest regions for illegal border crossings in Texas, migrant apprehensions have already dropped by 40% in the first full week of Donald Trump's presidency.

It's not just one border area that apprehensions are declining, the drop has been noticed across the entire southwest border as enhanced immigration operations promised by Trump and his team begin to take shape.

This isn't just a case of more people sneaking through and less being apprehended. The number of suspected "got-aways" has also dropped.

In the Del Rio Sector, got-aways have dropped by more than 60%, from 229 per week to 82.

In the Texas Rio Grande Valley, daily migrant apprehensions have fallen from over 1,150 to around 200. Known got-aways in that region are down by about 40% as well, according to Border Patrol.

Perhaps the biggest change from the Biden administration to the Trump administration is the transition from releasing migrants into the United States to arresting and removing the migrants upon entry.

Breitbart attributes the drop in attempted migrant crossings to Donald Trump's mass deportation plans. With imagery of mass deportation operations circulating in the media, these potential criminals have to be aware that getting caught now means consequences, not just a free ride into the United States.

During one immigration raid in Colorado, the Denver Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) arrested approximately 50 migrants suspected of being in America illegally.

Several arrested during the raid are suspected of being associated with the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang.

Do you think Donald Trump is going too far with his mass deportation plan?

Or is this simply what is needed to keep America safe and look after our citizens?
