Trump Conviction Backfires On Democrats, Campaign Announces Record Fundraising Haul

Democrats were ecstatic at the news of former President Donald Trump's conviction but that celebration was over quickly as it appears that Trump's conviction has had the opposite of its intended effect.

Instead of harming Trump's presidential campaign, his New York conviction has become a rallying cry, and momentum and excitement around his presidential campaign has exploded among Americans, as Fox News reports.

The Trump campaign announced that it had brought in a record-breaking $34.8 million after Trump was convicted of 34 felonies in his New York hush money trial.

The haul was "nearly double" the previous single-day fundraising record which means that convicting Trump has only made him stronger, and this is exactly what President Joe Biden doesn't want to hear.

Excitement around Biden's potential second term is non-existent and now the weaponization of the justice system against Trump has woken up Americans to the dirty games that Democrats are playing ahead of November's election.

Can't Stop The Trump Train

What should really concern Democrats is not only did Trump double his fundraising but apparently this was largely driven by new donors donating to Trump for the first time.

The Trump campaign noted that 29.7% of the contributors were brand-new donors so not only are older supporters doubling their contributions, but droves of new supporters are flocking to Trump's banners.

In a press release, the campaign stated, "President Trump and our campaign are immensely grateful from this outpouring of support from patriots across our country. President Trump is fighting to save our nation and November 5th is the day Americans will deliver the real verdict."

While leftists in ivory towers gloat over their perceived victory, the Trump campaign is raking it in.

A statement from Trump campaign senior advisers Chris La Civita and Susie Wiles on Friday stated, "From just minutes after the sham trial verdict was announced, our digital fundraising system was overwhelmed with support, and despite temporary delays online because of the amount of traffic, President Trump raised $34.8 million dollars from small dollar donors."

Supreme Court Appeal

As for the verdict itself, many legal observers suggest that it stands no chance of standing once the appeal process gets underway.

Trump and his attorneys are already working on getting the appeal process rolling. The only reason that Trump was convicted in the first place was because of a judge who was obviously selected to ensure Trump was convicted.

This case will likely make its way all the way to the Supreme Court where it will be tossed out quickly, assuming it's not completely crushed before it reaches that point.

All Democrats have done is empower Trump and woken up more Americans to the corruption of the justice system. In fact, if Trump wins in November, Democrats will have to look back on this moment as the moment they handed Trump his 2nd term in the White House.
