Trump Calls for Cheney and Her Fellow J6 Committee Members to be Arrested

Over the last week, some pretty interesting information has emerged about the work of the January 6 Select Committee.

The subject of the information was Trump’s behavior in his car after having left the rally on January 6, 2021.

It has come to light the committee did not present all of the evidence, which led to Trump going off, demanding the arrest of committee members, including former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-MT).

Lock Her Up

It would appear that we will now have a new target of the infamous “lock her up” chants that we heard in 2016.

Through an investigation by GOP House members, it was revealed that the driver of Trump’s car that day had given testimony to the committee.

However, the committee instead chose to bring in Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide for former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, who offered up hearsay evidence.

If you recall, at the time of the J6 hearings, I had stated that virtually none of the testimony heard during that hearing would be admissible because it was all second-hand information.

As it turns out, the driver was available, and he gave testimony that would have debunked every word that Hutchinson said about this particular incident (that being Trump lunging for the wheel and the head of his Secret Service detail).

The driver, whose name was withheld, testified before the J6 committee, which Cheney sat in on, telling the committee that he never saw Trump lunge the way Hutchinson stated.

In fact, the only thing he confirmed about her testimony was that Trump and the head of the Secret Service detail had a spirited discussion on why they were headed back to the White House and not to the Capitol.

The driver testified, “I did not see [Trump] reach. He never grabbed the steering wheel. I didn’t see him, you know, lunge to try to get into the front seat at all. You know, what stood out was the irritation in his voice, more than his physical presence.”

Even so, Hutchinson was run out in prime time during the TV production of the committee hearings, which now look more like a TV drama series than a fact-finding mission.

Trump responded to the new report, “She should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!”

We all knew the committee was selectively editing testimony and video, but when you have firsthand testimony to debunk second-hand information, you have to give the first-hand testimony precedence.

I know Cheney will never go to jail over this, but can people at least stop propping her up as some type of savior when she is just as corrupt as the rest of DC?
