Trump Buries the Hatchet with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp
Donald Trump may have just made the move of the election.
Trump has finally ended the longtime feud with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, a Republican.
The two have been at each other’s throats for years, but Kemp and Trump ended it all with a big bro hug this week.
Upstaging Kamala
The big news on Thursday was supposed to be Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech.
While liberals were hanging on every word, some of them happened to notice what was happening in Georgia that could have a significant impact on the presidential race.
Trump has a small lead in Georgia, but it is nothing to write home about, so getting Kemp behind his campaign was extremely important, and Trump has managed to do that.
The two men buried the hatchet with a hug heard around the country, with Kemp then telling Hannity, “We need to send Donald Trump back to the White House.”
Trump responded in kind on Truth Social, posting, "Thank you to #BrianKempGA for all of your help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country.
“I look forward to working with you, your team, and all of my friends in Georgia to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
This feud has been going on for the better part of four years, with Trump recently attacking Kemp on the campaign trail, which included an attack against Kemp’s wife.
But, that is all history now, as the two are on the same page, which will really help Trump in Georgia.
This was a big step for Trump, as it is something I have called him out for numerous times.
He needs the entire GOP, so he has to find a way to mend these fences, and if I were him, Ron DeSantis would be my next stop.
I believe Trump and his surrogates owe DeSantis a huge apology for what was said about DeSantis during the primary race.
They accused DeSantis of having affairs with students when he was a PA, which never happened. They questioned his wife’s and Ron’s sexuality. They also doubted whether Casey’s cancer diagnosis was real simply because they did not see her medical records, which they have no right to see unless she decides to make them public.
Casey is not the elected official, so this was one that really got under my skin.
Trump needs DeSantis supporters to win this election, and even with DeSantis speaking at the RNC, I am not sure his supporters are still on board with voting for Trump in this election.
I know they won’t vote for Harris, but Trump needs to do something to get them off the sidelines to pull the handle for him.
Furthermore, he needs to stop attacking the wives of Republicans who he has a falling out with or he will risk losing even more votes that he can ill afford to miss on election day.
But, as I stated, this was a good first step, and, hopefully, we will see a few more olive branches offered in time for Trump to make up ground and win this election.
