Trump Beats Harris on All Economic Issues
If you are anything like me, this election has you completely baffled.
Kamala Harris leads Trump nationally by about 3%, while the candidates are more or less tied in most key battleground states.
Yet, in most key issues, including the most important one, the economy, Trump is beating Harris soundly.
What’s Going On
Is TDS so bad that people do not consider their own answers to these questions when picking their candidate?
In polls on foreign policy, the military, and key domestic issues, Trump is winning, most of them soundly.
To that point, a recent IPSOS poll on various aspects of the economy clearly favored Donald Trump.
He was ahead by 15 points on managing the stock market, nine points on overseeing the US economy, seven points on the job market, and six points on the cost of living.
Inflation and the cost of living, by the way, is what most people consider the most important issue of this election.
A whopping 70% of those surveyed said this should be the number one issue of the next president when he or she takes office.
We all know Harris’s plan, which is to continue Bidenomics, which has been a complete and utter disaster.
So, is Trump underperforming in polls? I am trying to figure out how that can be the case because in that same IPSOS poll, Harris holds a 2% lead over Trump nationally.
Just digest that for a second… the majority of people consider this to be the most important issue of the election, and the majority of people trust Trump more to handle this issue, yet the majority of voters are supporting Harris for president.
This is akin to giving a restaurant five stars on service, ambiance, and value, but only giving it a 4-star review overall.
It just does not make sense, which is why this race is so hard to predict with less than a month to go before election day.
