Trump Attorney Admits Misrepresenting Evidence

Okay, so we have yet another problem or Donald Trump that is going to hurt him during the upcoming election cycle.

One of Donald Trump’s biggest mouthpieces regarding 2020 election fraud, attorney Jenna Ellis, has just come clean.

Ellis has admitted that she misrepresented evidence regarding the 2020 election, getting herself a censure from a judge in the process, reports the Wall Street Journal.

I Lied

Ellis was one of Trump’s primary spokespeople on this front when he was aggressively fighting the outcome of the 2020 election. She appeared on just about every network and seemed to be on Fox News every time you turned on the TV.

Now, however, she is backtracking on statements that she made 10 different times, reports The Hill.

Bryon Large, Colorado’s presiding disciplinary judge, stated, “The parties agree that Respondent, through her conduct, undermined the American public’s confidence in the presidential election, violating her duty of candor to the public.”

Ellis is basically recanting statements she made in the media from just after the election on November 13 to December 22, 2022. Among the statements she made that she now says were misrepresented was that Trump “actually won in a landslide.”

The 65 Project Managing Director Michael Teter took a victory lap, stating, “[T]he year it took to reach this outcome highlights the need for revamped and revitalized disciplinary process.

“It should not take 366 days to hold accountable a lawyer who, in a few short weeks of constant lies and misrepresentations, placed American democracy in such jeopardy. Nor is a public censure a particularly satisfying outcome when one considers the direct line between Ms. Ellis’s deliberate actions and the attack on our nation’s Capitol on January 6th.”

Ellis is now the third attorney that worked with Trump that has faced discipline for their actions regarding the 2020 election.

Jeffrey Clark, an attorney at the Justice Department, is facing a reprimand from the board and Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York as well as representing Trump for a hot minute, has had his law license suspended.

Trump is leaving a wake of destroyed legal careers in his rearview mirror, yet he keeps pressing forward on this issue.
