Trump and Clinton Enjoyed Higher Ratings During Impeachment

Republicans may want to take a look at history before they decide to pull the trigger on a Joe Biden impeachment.

History has shown that a president being impeached only helps their approval ratings.

For instance, when Donald Trump was impeached in February 2020, his approval rating was at its highest at 47 percent, reported NBC News.

Bill Clinton saw something similar, earning a 73 percent approval rating in December 1998, which is when Republicans first announced they were considering impeachment, via Gallup.

It’s Useless

Listen, I want to see Joe Biden punished just as much as anyone, but I also know impeaching him is a double-edged sword without a supermajority in the Senate.

There is no way an impeachment passes the Senate with Dems in control, so a House impeachment is meaningless.

Actually, if history has shown us anything, it is that it is counterproductive, as it will probably help Joe’s approval ratings and make him more difficult to beat next November.

My idea is to allow all these hearings to play out, uncover criminal activity, and there is clearly criminal activity that took place, then have Biden prosecuted after he is out of the White House.

Meanwhile, the Democrats and the DOJ will continue to attack Trump with these charges, and, again, if history has shown us anything, it is that the American people flock to someone they feel is being wrongly prosecuted.

Trump has already shown that during this process, as his support has soared higher with every new indictment.

This election will be a toss-up if it is Trump and Biden, and we simply cannot afford to give Biden any momentum at all.

Lay off the impeachment for now… then make Biden pay once we take the White House back.

If Dems want to play dirty and weaponize the DOJ, we need to play the same way and unleash hell on Biden with a GOP-run Department of Justice.

This was the mistake Trump made when he was in office for the first time by not taking out Hillary Clinton when he had the chance. I would hope he would not make the same mistake again.

Dems want to play games, let’s play!
