Donald Trump has had a pretty interesting week in terms of making statements.
Unfortunately for Trump, none of them have really helped him in terms of generations momentum for his campaign.
This time, however, it was Trump fessing up as to why he took classified folders after he left office.
Just 'Cool'
According to Trump, all those folders that were marked "Classified" were just that, empty folders.
Trump stated that he took them because he thought they would be a cool "keepsake" to have after leaving office.
Of course, he also unloaded on Biden and his hoarding of classified information for the last six years.
Trump stated, "Remember, these were just ordinary, inexpensive folders with various words printed on them, but they were a 'cool' keepsake. Perhaps the Gestapo took some of these empty folders when they Raided Mar-a-Lago, & counted them as a document, which they are not.
"It's also possible that the Trump Hating Marxist Thugs in charge will 'plant' documents while they're in possession of the material. As President, and based on the Presidential Records Act & Socks Case, I did NOTHING WRONG. JOE DID!"
This issue is not going to go away for Democrats and Joe Biden.
It was bad enough when one set of documents were found, but three sets in three different locations, well, that is a problem.
Biden's excuse that they were inadvertently misplaced may have worked if it was only one set in his home, but the office and two different locations in the home made it pretty apparent that Biden was snatching files that he thought he would need after leaving office.
That is especially the case for the documents they found at the Penn Biden Center office.
At some point, we are going to find out what the documents contained that were in his home, and if they end up being related to China, Ukraine, and/or Ukraine, Biden is going to have a major problem on his hands.
