Trump adds his attorney to his campaign team
Former President Donald Trump has decided to add Attorney Alina Habba to his 2024 presidential campaign team, Fox News reports.
This comes after Habba, in recent years, has been an integral part of Trump's legal team. In this capacity, she has made numerous appearances on news programs to discuss the cases.
Now, however, Habba has a new role: she is going to be a senior adviser to Trump's 2024 campaign. "Habba is now serving as a senior adviser to Trump's re-election campaign, a promotion that comes after she gained national recognition in her legal role on Trump's team over the last few years," Fox reports.
Habba, though, will still serve as one of Trump's attorneys.
"A great honor"
Habba recently spoke with Fox News about joining the Trump campaign.
She referred to the move as a "great honor," and she said that she plans on using this new position to discuss with women across the country issues that are important to them.
Habba also spoke about how the recent assassination attempt on Trump affected her.
"I never in my life thought I would live through that, let alone live through it and say, 'That's also my friend.' And that's been very difficult for me," she said. She also said that, in her opinion, the whole incident impacted Trump so much so that it changed him.
"I think America could see it's a different President Trump today," she said.
"Character, Kindness, and Commitment"
Habba has already made a big impact on Trump's campaign by delivering an impactful speech at the recently-held Republican National Convention, where Trump was officially named the Republican Party's presidential nominee.
Habba, like many of the other speakers, decided to speak about the side of Trump that - thanks to the mainstream media - we never get to see: his personal side.
"Now, I know you’re all used to hearing me shouting outside the courthouse, but, tonight, I want to take you beyond the law and behind the headlines – and share with you a side of President Trump that reveals his character, his kindness, and commitment to saving this country," Habba began.
Habba went on to provide personal anecdotes about Trump to support this statement. Among other things, she revealed heartfelt interactions between Trump and his supporters and she revealed how Trump has "empowered" her to become who she is today.
"Despite the lawfare and the politics, President Trump loves the American people, and he loves this country," Habba said.
