Travis Kelce Not Going to Golden Globes with Swift

This weekend, Taylor Swift was at the Golden Globes for a nomination for her “The Eras Tour” movie.

Since the Kansas City Chiefs were in town to play the Los Angeles Chargers, fans surely expected her new boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce, to attend.

Much to the Swifties' disappointment, Taylor showed up solo and walked out without any hardware.

All Alone

“The Eras Tour” movie had been nominated for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award, but she left empty-handed.

Swift was, however, the butt of a joke from host Jo Koy, which fell flat with Taylor Swift and the entire audience.

Joy cracked, “As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader. The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.”

The camera immediately went to Swift, who, with a very stern face, just took a sip of her drink while the crowd sat silently.

But the bigger news was that Swift walked down the red carpet solo when most expected Kelce to be there with her.

Even though Kelce’s game was over in time to attend, he was likely forced to travel back home with the team, which is typical protocol for NFL players, even when they have a superstar girlfriend.

Plus, the fact the Chiefs barely got by the Chargers and have to play in the first round of the playoffs on January 14, I am sure his coaches and teammates would not have appreciated him skipping out.

So, no, Travis and Taylor did not break up. Kelce just needs to get back to KC to figure out what the heck is wrong with the Chiefs offense right now.

They will play the Miami Dolphins on Saturday in Kansas City, with the Dolphins having just lost the final game of the season to lose the AFC East to the Buffalo Bills.

The Chiefs are a small favorite, currently giving the Dolphins 3.5 points.
