Top J6 Prosecutor Set to Resign Before Inauguration

U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves has decided that it is time to go.

Graves led the charge in prosecuting J6 defendants while at the same time allowing hardened criminals with light sentences or not even prosecution cases in DC during his tenure.

This is the same prosecutor that allowed that statute of limitations to expire on some of Hunter Biden’s alleged crimes.

Time to Go

Graves has faced significant criticism from conservatives and Republicans alike for how he has chosen to run his office during his tenure.

While crime rates are soaring in Democrat-run cities like DC, we often see prosecutors letting them off with a light sentence if they even decide to prosecute.

Graves has to know that with Trump coming into office, his tenure as a U.S. Attorney is going to be short-lived, so he is going to resign instead.

Upon announcing his resignation, Graves stated, “Serving as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia has been the honor of a lifetime.”

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) responded to the news, stating, “The Swamp knows that justice is coming.”

When Graves appeared before Congress, he got crushed by Republicans.

For instance, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), a huge ally of Trump’s in Congress, stated, “You’re not doing your job, and I find it disgusting, frankly.”

To his point, reports showed that Graves did not prosecute roughly 50% of the arrests made by the Metropolitan Police in 2023.

The 2024 data will not be available until March of next year.

I would expect some major turnover in the DOJ once the Trump administration takes over. I would think that Pam Bondi already has a hit list together for US Attorneys that she wants to see dismissed in blue states for not properly prosecuting crimes.

This nonsense of no bail and refusing to prosecute is about to stop.
