Tom Hanks warns against new AI ads for 'wonder drugs'

Famous Actor Tom Hanks is likely CRUSHED after the latest news. He's been being used as the face of a scam without even consenting!

Hanks took to the popular social media platform, Instagram, to share a warning with his followers.

“There are multiple ads over the internet falsely using my name, likeness and voice promoting miracle cures and wonder drugs. These ads have been created without my consent, fraudulently and through AI,” Hanks said on Instagram.

Yes, you read that right.

Through the power of artificial intelligence, an advertisement has created a false image of Tom Hanks promoting their drugs.

Hanks did not stop there.

“I have nothing to do with these posts or the productions and treatments, or the spokespeople touting these cures. I have type 2 diabetes, and I ONLY work with my board certified doctor regarding my treatment. DO NOT BE FOOLED. DO NOT BE SWINDLED. DO NOT LOSE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY,” Tom Hanks wrote.

Unfortunately for Hanks, this is not the first time he has had a run-in with scammers using an image of him created by A.I.

He was also previously the victim of a dental company scam.

“There's a video out there promoting some dental plan with an AI version of me. I have nothing to do with it,” Hanks said of that scam.

While the likelihood of Tom Hanks’ image being falsified by A.I. is higher than the average joe, the fact of the matter is something like this can happen to anyone!

Anyone’s image can be created by artificial intelligence -- even yours!

We need protective measures put in place to prevent this from happening to others AND to prevent innocent Americans falling prey to scams like the one that used Hanks' image.

Where do you stand on the issue of artificial intelligence? Do you think it is more harmful or helpful to humanity?
