It would appear that Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) may have finally gone too far.
After the initial attack against Israel, Tlaib started pushing Hamas talking points, even after they were debunked.
She has continued to support Palestine ever after horrific pictures and videos surfaced regarding the massacre that took place in the early days of the war.
Now, some Democrats are finally calling her out for her comments.
Sickening
In one post on X, Tlaib wrote, “We will remember in 2024.
“Joe Biden supported the genocide of the Palestinian people.”
She followed that up with, “From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate. My work and advocacy is always centered in justice and dignity for all people no matter faith or ethnicity.”
The phrase "From the River to the Sea" is a phrase used to promote the complete eradication of Israeli Jews, and adding that phrase to her post outraged some Democrats.
For instance, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) stated, “This phrase means eradicating Israel and Jews. Period. Dressing it up in a new PR ploy won’t change that. Only a return of hostages, eliminating Hamas, and liberating Gaza from oppressive terror will save civilian lives and secure the peace, justice, and dignity you seek.”
Michigan Senate President Pro Tem Jeremy Moss added, “This is not how Jews view the phrase ‘from the river to the sea.’ This is not how Hamas views the phrase ‘from the river to the sea.’
“Hamas uses it as a rallying cry. And they don’t simply want to displace Jews in Israel. They want Jews dead."
And believe me, Tlaib cannot claim ignorance as to the true meaning of that phrase, and she clearly had been against Israel from day one.
Even Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) called her out, stating, “And slogans like ‘the river to the sea,’ if that means the destruction of Israel, that’s not going to work."
Again, he surely knows what that means, but he also went on to say that he does not support blanket support for Israel either.
This is what today's Democrat Party represents.
