Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has been a complete and utter embarrassment as a member of Congress.
The war between Israel and Hamas has brought her disloyalties to this country and our allies right into the spotlight.
It was so bad, in fact, that 22 members of her party crossed the aisle to censure her this week.

As a Palestinian American, weeping for her fellow Palestinians is to be expected, and I really don’t think that is the issue here.
The problem is her vile words against Israel and the fact she is pushing Hamas talking points that have been debunked to attack Israel.
She went after her own party’s president for supporting Israel, our ally, and claimed that this was genocide against the people of Palestine.
She then doubled down by outright lying about the definition of “From the river to the sea.”

When the censure motion was put on the floor, she gave an impassioned speech on the floor…
Fox News chased her down, literally giving her about half a dozen opportunities to decry the terrorist attack by Hamas, but she refused…

That is why 22 Democrats crossed over and voted “yes” for the resolution to censure Tlaib.
Sadly, she is far from the only one who feels this way about Israel and Hamas.
Nobody wants innocent civilians to die in a war, but that is the nature of war in the Middle East when you are fighting people who hide among civilians and use them as shields.
I continue to say, if Palestinians want the war to end, they have more power than anyone else. Extend an olive branch to Israel by offering to help rid Palestine of Hamas, then don't allow another terror organization to literally take over land within your border.
The Palestinian Authority gave Hamas the Gaza Strip... in many people's eyes, that makes them complicit in the atrocities committed by Hamas.
This could be an amazing opportunity for true peace in this area, but it will take Palestine to step up and do the right thing regarding Hamas and terrorist activity in Palestine.
