Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott promised to fire FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland if elected president.
Scott shared the comments during an interview with "Breitbart News Saturday."

“Number one, we fire Joe Biden. Hire me. Number two, we fire Merrick Garland. And number three, we fire Christopher Wray. By doing so, we eliminate the rest of the political appointees in the Department of Justice so that the American people could see action,” Scott said.
“By doing those three things, we restore competence and integrity, but then, we have to recreate the culture, the bones of FBI,” Scott said.

“But when the culture is so corrosive and so toxic, you have to purge out that culture to restore confidence, even amongst the FBI rank and file,” Scott continued.
“We need to do the same thing with the EPA, FDA, NIH, [and] CDC. We have a problem in today’s government. We don’t trust them because they haven’t been trustworthy,” Scott said.
The strong words come as several Republican leaders have called for removing the leaders of Washington agencies over the growing political decisions among their leaders.
The FBI has been among the most controversial, including the agency's Mar-a-Lago raid of former President Donald Trump's home.
The agency also targeted parents who spoke out at school board meetings, angering parents nationwide.
The tough words from Scott connect with the anger among many conservatives who want change in Washington, starting with the leaders of the agencies that increasingly target Americans who stand up for their constitutional rights under the Biden administration.
