The co-hosts of "The View" criticized Texas Democratic Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee over an audio recording of her verbally attacking her staff members.
The released audio has led to strong backlash from a variety of sources, including the voices of the longtime talk show who condemned the actions.

This was verbal abuse. It's so bad that we can't even play a little bit of it," co-host Ana Navarro said.
"It's emotional abuse, it's toxic, and frankly if she was anything other than a congresswoman she'd probably be taken to HR and fired, but since there's no Speaker, who is going to censure her? Who is going to take her to the ethics committee?" she continued.

“Why is the mainstream media ignoring the audio of Sheila Jackson Lee berating her staff?” GOP chairwoman Ronna McDaniel asked on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“She’s running to be the mayor of the fourth largest city in the country. She’d oversee more staff than she ever has in Congress. But the media gives her a pass because she’s a Democrat.”
The congresswoman has yet to address the recording but it is not the first time she has been accused of mistreating staff members.
The recording's release came as Jackson Lee is running to become the mayor of Houston, one of America's largest cities, which is located in a largely red state.
Jackson Lee has been endorsed by Hillary Clinton, among other Democratic leaders, after serving in Congress for 18 years.
The latest audio recording, however, was even too much for the co-hosts of "The View," who took time to address the serious verbal attacks during their recent program.
