Texas Says It Will Also Ignore Biden Title IX Revisions

Once again, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is following the lead of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

The White House recently revealed its Title IX revisions, creating quite a stir among conservatives.

Governor Ron DeSantis immediately stated that he would ignore the revisions, and now Governor Abbott has announced the same defiance.

Not Listening to Joe

The issue that Republicans have with Joe Biden’s new guidelines is as they relate to added protections given to transgender students.

While Biden has avoided addressing transgenders in women’s sports, something that is likely to get addressed after the election, the administration is forcing schools to accept a professed gender identity when given, even if it does not match the biological gender at birth.

Abbott penned a letter to the White House, stating that the new guideline “exceeds your authority as President.”

He added, “You have rewritten Title IX to force schools to treat boys as if they are girls and to accept every student’s self-declared gender identity.”

Abbott continued, “I am instructing the Texas Education Agency to ignore your illegal dictate.

“Your rewrite of Title IX not only exceeds your constitutional authority, it also tramples laws that I signed to protect the integrity of women’s sports by prohibiting men from competing against female athletes. Texas will fight to protect those laws and to deny your abuse of authority.”

With Texas and Florida now taking this defiant stance, you can expect more red states to join this very soon.

Texas, like many red states, now has laws blocking biological males from playing in women’s sports.

Biden will be fought tooth-and-nail on these changes, as there is simply no way red states are going to allow this to continue.
