Judge Rules Texas Must Remove Floating Barriers

Texas Governor Abbott just took one on the chin by a federal judge.

Texas has been ordered to remove the floating barriers it had placed between Texas and Mexico along the Rio Grande.

Abbott has until September 15 to remove the barrier as well as being prohibited from erecting a new barrier, reported CBS News.

Big Loss for Texas

When Abbott put the barriers in place, he did not ask for permission, simply because he knew there was no way that Biden was going to give it to him.

U.S. District Judge David Ezra, a Reagan appointee, pointed exactly to that in his 42-page ruling that ordered Abbott to have the barriers removed.

He stated, “Unfortunately for Texas, permission is exactly what federal law requires before installing obstructions in the nation’s navigable waters."

Texas argued that this was an invasion, giving it the authority to protect Texas due to the illegal entry of thousands of migrants every day.

Some may say that is a stretch, but when you have surveillance footage of armed men coming over the border, is that really so far out of line?

The DOJ gushed after the ruling, stating, "We are pleased that the court ruled that the barrier was unlawful and irreparably harms diplomatic relations, public safety, navigation, and the operations of federal agency officials in and around the Rio Grande,” reported NBC News.

Abbott, however, is not giving up, as he is determined to slow this flow down.

He stated, "We will continue to utilize every strategy to secure the border, including deploying Texas National Guard soldiers and Department of Public Safety troopers and installing strategic barriers. Texas is prepared to take this fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.”

So, if Texas cannot protect its border, Abbott should just step up the bussing program.

So far, Abbott has shipped more than 30,000 migrants to Democrat sanctuary cities, including 13,000 to New York, even though NYC Mayor Eric Adams claims Abbott has shipped him 110,000.
